A great way of getting another income is to rent out a room in your home.  It is an option many are turning to in the current times when everything is going up.  Before you pooh pooh the idea, have a think about it, you can keep your lounge for your family needs and share the rest of the house (apart from your personal bedrooms of course).  You can always do it on a short lease, so that when you get a job you can wait until the end of the tenancy and not renew it?
