yes there are scholarships based on talents, grades, and other factors. they have scholarships for left handed people and other factors that you wouldnt even think. some scholarships want an essay and you are awarded based on that. there is also work study too. there is really no way to minimize the costs besides financial aid and scholarships. financial aid is given according to need and who filed there fafsa first, thats why its always important to file as close to jan 1st as possible. if your efc is high then be thankful for any financial aid you received.
