What is the best way to mix golden rum?

I have some Appleton Special rum and want to know some good recipes. Now it's not the top of the line Appleton, but it's still good stuff. I don't want anything too complicated, but I don't want to just mix it with coke and call it a day either. Any ideas?

When I was in Jamaica- we drank this all the time:

Appleton rum, chilled in the freezer ( just put the whole bottle in)

Fresh lime

Just pour the rum over ice, add a big squeeze of lime juice and enjoy!

mix your rum with a little bit of apple pucker and and just a bit of triple sec. and your good to go if you like apple pie.

Usually the best way to mix golden rum is by pouring it into a glass with a mixer.  Doesn't really matter what it is, you just pour it and a mixer together. Sometimes stir, sometimes shake.  Some times add ice.  Who am I kidding, most of the time add ice. Yep, thats how you usually mix something.
