  1. Go to a hardware store and buy a roll of screening material, some spline and a spline tool and replace the screen. Just takes minutes and costs less than $20.


  2. Here's a link to the do-it-yourself method.  

    However, I've actually cut out a bit of screen larger than the hole in a decorative shape (like a flower where the hole became the center), and glued it to the screen (a little glue at the edges on both sides) -- I had a bunch of holes from an over-eager child...  It worked really well and was fast and easy.

  3. I like the second poster's decorative patch idea, especially if you have a new puppy or small child and can anticipate more holes appearing soon. It's a bit fussy, but you can actually sew a small patch on too, with synthetic black thread, fine wire or even fishing line.
