What is the best way to persuade people to donate?

I want alumnus to donate to the college I attend. How do I persuade them? What is the best way to get them to?

Answer 1

show them why you believe in the college.  why is it special and deserving of their donation?

People need to feel like they are contributing to something that is making a difference in thier community, be that local, national or global.

If you can't answer this, then you will never be able to convince anyone why they should part with their support or money.  Good luck!
