  1. I'm training my 2 1/2 year old daughter right now too. What I'm doing is asking her every 10 minutes if she needs to go to the potty, that seems to help. Also, if we go out, then I make sure and take her to the potty as soon as we get there. I tried putting her in panties and asking, but that was three potty incedents on the floor in a row, so I would not recomment that. But I would jsut stay on her for probably a week straight, every ten minutes. It's a hassle, but if you do it so inttensley for a week, it will save you time in the long run.

  2. The same way everyone does. With love, patience and persistence. Get a potty seat, training pants with a favorite character, star chart, etc. and give it a go.

If she isn't interested, wait a while. Before you start, make sure she can do a good job of dressing and undressing herself, clean her hands, help wash herself in the bath, etc. These skills will be important when she is going potty by herself. Don't push her too hard, and there is no shame in waiting if she is not ready.

    Cheers!

  3. My daughter was very interested in using a REAL toilet so I wanted to build on that.  I researched and found a very safe and very sturdy stool with sides for the toilet so she could hold on without touching the toilet with her hands.  http://www.amazon.com/Elite-Child-Corpor...

My daughter loved the independence and she potty trained right away.  This stool made all the difference for her and was well worth it.  Hope this helps.

  4. I recommend a potty chair and big girl underwear.  Get rid of the diapers and pull-ups except for at night.  She will probably have many accidents until she finally gets the hang of it.  I have found that pull-ups prolong the potty training process because your child cannot tell the difference between a pull-up and a diaper.  Also little rewards everytime she goes potty (I gave 3 M&M's).  Good Luck!
