What is the best way to prepare for becoming preschool teacher?

I want to become an Preschool teacher for now after I receive my Associate Degrees in BMCC (Borough Manhattan Community College) and then become an Preschool teacher for a bit and then after I finish earning my Bachelor Degrees & Master Degrees, I want to move onto becoming Elementary Teacher.

What are some preparation to become an preschool teacher? what are EXTRA plus in resume?

Any suggestions and stories Preschool teachers? Thank You

  1. Observation is the best way to prepare.  Volunteer to sit in and help at a few different schools.  Books and studying are great for teaching, but, what they teach you is sometimes so far from relevant.  Just go in, get practical experience.

    If you do "volunteer," then you can put that on your resume as well.

    Keep studying once you begin teaching, it makes you better, but nothing can ever prepare you for a classroom other than teaching in one.


  2. for extra plus in your resume try to be a good learner first then only u wud b a great teacher. try to b an avid reader,read news paper,hav a good bank of children's literature,surf sites relating to child psychology new researches in teaching methods.visit innovative schools to learn new techniques,
