We can not prevent grlobal warming. But we can slowdown it rate of growth by reducing usage of unnecessary electrical equipements, properly using fuels in vehicles such way that to reduce polution,etc. But i believe that human body will genetically evolve to adapt the higher degree of temperature. And find the way to live over the water even see level increases. So in one side when we try solutions scientifically., in otherside subconciously our natural system will adapt to the situation.

The chief thing is reducing fossil fuel use, by alternative energy (nuclear, solar wind), and conserving energy.

The longer we wait, the more expensive and disruptive this will be to do.  Global warming is like a big rock rolling downhill.  The longer you wait to stop it, the harder it is to stop.

the best way to prevent global warming is by adapting to a nature friendly lifestyle. it can include following actions-

-efficient use of electricity

-minimal use of private vehicles, using public transport instead.

-recycling a lot of things of daily use, eg a plastic bag

-use of cycles, use of recycled paper, or things which are with the eco-friendly tag,

-creating a sense of responsibility in oneself that we owe to nature.

these can help us prevent not only global warming but many other environmental problems

global wrmng very much exists and it needs serious consideration frm all of us. but the prblm is tht we feel tht just by my thrwng garbage on the road plltn levels wont increase,we need 2 check ourselves.we have a really laid back attitude &most of the people thnk tht "plltn worries" are all bookish thngs but plz people get serous abt it or we will be the ones 2 seffer. i am areall eco-freak & i am really wrkng twrds mkng people aware of the cncqnces of global warmng& i need help frm u guys too. plz help me with this awareness  cmpgn&plz save the envrnmnt. we need 2 do lttle things like not thrwng garbage on the road and askng other people2 stp doing the same. plz reduce the usage of plastic

Well, for one.. u cud start switching off all the electrical equipments whenever you don't need them, or rather making minimal use of them.

Drive vehicles that run on alternate fuels.

Plant many many many more trees.

Stop burning coal and other fossil fuels.

Well, I think if everyone could do stuff like this, then it'd help a lot. And in case it does not help much even after this, we could start thinking of better ways of doing it.. :-)

And btw.. Unlike what "lv" has said, Global Warming is very real. It is happening, and it is happening at an alarming rate.. Read articles in papers and then u'll know how bad it can get.. If its not stopped, probably u won't have land to live on even..

EVERYTHING on earth goes thru natural up and down cycles. Back in the 1970's, the big campaign was global cooling! Our planet is affected by the sun's cycles, so it would reason that in a few years, we will be going thru a global cooling cycle. One little omission that you never hear is that Carbon Dioxide is a LIFE gas! Every plant consumes it, NOT just the trees! The best thing that you can do is your little part... just leave it better than you found it!
