I am a lifeguard and a swim coach so I'm in the water all the time and my hair gets very damaged. I really don't want to put mayonaise in my hair or anything gross.

  1. Wear a swim cap or use a special shampoo.

  2. It your up to it Wear a swim cap. even if you look stupid others will look stupider when their hair goes from blond to Green. But If you don't want the swim cap soak you hair in cold water befor you go swimming. Once your done swimming wet your hair again with cold water til id doesn't smell like chlorine anymore then shampoo and conditinen(sp) it like normal

  3. they make certain shampoos for people that swim in chlorine a lot. my hair turns green at the ends and i got the certain shampoo and it worked ~GREAT~! I i just put it on my green spots and the green is gone in a couple of days. =)

  4. if possible wet your hair in a shower or something so it's completely wet before u go swimming coz then it will be unable to soak up more water or will soak up less water from the pool and therefore will cause less damage. also you could do some weekly conditioning treatments. there is some good products u can get like leave in conditioners or leave in oil products. the oil would probs be better seeing as your in the pool all the time and ur hair is probably really dry and damaged from the chlorine but leave in conditioner would work well to. just ask ur hairdresser or the lady at the hair shop which product she recommends for ur price range.
