What is the best way to propagate wisteria.?

I've started wisteria by taking a runner from the plant that is low to the ground, pull it away from the mother plant (don't break it off) and put dirt over it leaving the end of te runner above the ground. Once it catches root where you covered it, you can cut it away from the main plant and then you have a new one.
