What is the best way to put .mpg files on DVD?

I have a wedding video that is 3.7GB .mpg file and it's nice quality, I've watched it through and it's all fine, I used VSO DivXtoDVD to convert it to DVD files and then put it straight into Nero and burnt it as a DVD Video using the DVD files, when i watched it back it was really jumpy, almost unwatchable, i noticed this happened during the converting process in VSO DivXtoDVD, after watching the DVD files back that was produced by the program, i noticed it was really jumpy also. Any suggestions? So far, this has been the only thing that has worked for me. I've been through 3 DVDs and 5 different programs.

You don't have to convert it using VSO. The 'burnt it as a DVD Video' in Nero will do the converting for you. DVD authoring is not an easy process but it's even better not to convert a source file more than once.
