What is the best way to receive H.D.Picture on a television I dont mean playing D.V.D. i mean all programs ?

If you live in the US, DirecTV seems to have the largest number of HD channels compared to cable.  For instance, they have Nickelodeon HD and my cable does not. But in my area Comcast carries more HD channels like Discovery HD Theater and Univeral HD that I cannot receive "over-the-air".

I haven't looked at other satellite providers like Dish Network but I did a Yahoo! Search for "dish network vs directv hd"

Me, I'm pretty happy with my TiVo HD and the selection I get on Comcast.  Although Comcast can be a pain when it comes to getting CableCards for a TiVo.

i have dish HD..its good but the "best =free" way is the picture i get with my o.t.a. ant. (local networks only) I think the picture is much better.. I think its because the signal is not compressed. not sure on that point though
