Little Moths Flying All Over the House? They go into my rice and my bird seeds. They also mate and lay their eggs on my rice, bird seeds and in the house as well. What can I do to totally remove these insects. They're bugging me. =/

  1. The easiest way would be to fumigate your house with one of those insecticide forgers. The healthiest way would be to seal up your rice, bird feed etc...and wait for them to die. Keep a lamp on at night and place bowls of water around it, sticky fly paper would work well to. The moths are attracted to the light and will inevitably fall or land in the sticky glue or water.

  2. the best way is to eliminate them at the source. seal the birdseed and rice etc. there's also moth traps you can buy at lowe's that are little more than triangle shaped card-board but they work really well. i think they're called 'safer brand" or something

  3. need to get rid of anything open and that may be contaminated with them...need to thoroughly clean the underside of the shelves and in the corners of the areas they were found...open unopened packaging near where they were found, not so much that they have gotten into the food but that they caterpillar may of crawled under the flap to pupate to the adult moth.  You can get pheromone traps that attract the adult moth not so much to stop the problem, but to help reduce the number of adults flying around and you will be able to tell where the infestation may be at and if the infestation has been stopped with these traps.
