What is the best way to remove a plant from the roots and what do the workers have to address its needs?

  1. Plant uprooting apparatus having a pair of jaws movable relatively to one another between open and closed positions in response to movements by a person of an actuating grip and linkage. The movement in one direction of the grip is limited so that the force that must be exerted by the person to maintain the jaws in their closed position is minimal.

    On a funny note, if you have an elephant, ask him/her to do it :) they're very good at that...

    Sometimes, in lack of these fancy devices, what the workers do is just tie a heavy-duty chain tight around the base of the tree a few times, then using a tractor pull the chain gradually , thus uprooting the tree.

    If we're talking about smaller plants, brawn is all you need. You just grab the plant's base (nice to use some gloves, in case the plant has nasty thorns) and then pull, gradually, not fast to make sure the roots are coming out together w/ the rest of the plant.
