What is the best way to remove of the poison ivy plant growing in my yard?

I have seen Ortho poison ivy killer in the stores.

I have had some success using straight bleach on poison ivy in a spray bottle.

Hardware/garden product stores usually carry a spray that's specific for poison ivy, but I'd bet that Roundup (or any broadleaf weed killer) would work just as well.

Spray on the leaves & it will die.

Let it die completely.  Until the leaves are very dead, the poisonous oil will still be active.  Even then I'd use gloves if you want to pull the dead plant up.
