What is the best way to remove rust from outdoor metal roofing?

  1. If it is steel sanding priming then painting.  If it is copper or aluminum they technically do not rust but do oxidize.  


  2. If it is steel, I would get the rust off with RustBlast and then paint it with RustSeal.  The stuff works great.
