I'm guessing that the juice spilled on the carpet yesterday because the stains are already dry. This may be a dumb question, but will color bleach get it out?

  1. Do not use color bleach.

Try this, it's helped us out many times

  2. The best thing I've found for old stains is the steam solution you get from the supermarkets that rent out the steam machines. I usually put some of that directly on the stain, let it sit a bit and then with a dry towel pat it dry, or step on the towel to get the solution that's gone under the rug.

  3. Try bathroom cleaner, the foaming kind or awesome cleaner you can get it a the Dollar Tree, or resolve.  The main thing to do is put cleaner on and try to soak up with a towel, keep putting cleaner on and soak up with a towel...  If the carpet is light colored a little diluted bleach probably would not hurt it..Also Clorox has a new bleach called ultimate care bleach.

  4. i wouldnt use any kind of bleach.

  5. Oxyclean?

  6. What kind of juice?

Natural juice such as Cranberry/Grape usually do not have food dyes only tannins. Wine stains are also due to the tannins. Tannins can be removed putting 3% hydrogen peroxide (the kind you buy in the store - brown bottle) and allowing dwell time. After several hours it will lighten if not disappear completely. If it does not retreat with a little more

3% hydrogen peroxide will not bleach carpet.

If the juice has a food dye in it a professional will be necessary. Juices like kool aid or juicy juice and many others usually have food dyes (examples would include red #40). The label on the product will list if they have been used.

Don't bother trying oxiclean, resolve or other over-the-counter products - they often will set the stain.

  7. Vanish make a spray cleaner for carpets/ upholstry. I have found it very effective

  8. no bleach any carpet cleaner, there is one at walmart in a white bottle with purple lettering that works tho.
