What is the best way to sanitize a carpet? (I have a puppy who left some doo doo, AND a crawling baby)?

I bought a hand-held steamer and have been using it to steam around the house, including carpet, sofa cushions and stuff...I am guessing it kills most bacteria, if not all...

i dont know why these people are all telling you that you need to buy steam cleaners over a small dog mess, you just need to buy some resolve carpet spray and make sure your child doesnt go around that spot after you treat it for about 12 hours

Buy a steam cleaner-I recently bought a Bissell Steam Pro and love it.  It is easy to use and works so well.  I paid $150 for it at KOHL's.  It also came with a free half gallon of steam cleaning solution.  It is so worth the money.  It has paid for itself already-every time I rented a rug doctor I paid $25 plus another $20 for solution. Good luck.

Get a small steam cleaner or rent a rug doctor at a grocery store. Everytime you bring a new baby in the house clean everything. Thats when most diseases start early on. And maybe you should get a baby gate til then.
