We're working on a translation of a school motto (solvitur vivendo) and looking for not just a good translation, but the way to say this with the most "punch". thanks

  1. It sure is... but the school-fees are heavy, as Hegel would say. :/

Maybe: "The all of things is an infinite conjugation of the verb to do," by Thomas Carlyle, would have the "punch" you want?

  2. To the cognition of the brain must be added the experience of the soul. - Arnold Bennett

    or "Learn from Experience"

or (this one I just thought of)

Experience teaches what nothing else can.

  3. Live and learn
