Using Pen and paper, prefferable a preprinted score sheet. Batting side goes in a column down the left side at top part.  The bowlers of the fielding side go in the bottom section.  Usually as they come on to bowl add the name underneath the last.

For each Ball bowled you make a mark on the Bowlers row depending upon what happened to the delivery. A dot represents no score to the batting team, a number represents what was scored by the batsman off the ball and a Cross 'X' represents a wicket to the fielding side.

Thats the basics i wont go into the extras.

Hold the bat tight, close your eyes and let the ball hit the bat if the ball somehow crosses the boundary line, you have scored 4 runs. Wow. Isn't that fun!
