Question:

What is the best way to secure lattice to deck railing?

I have an upstairs apartment that has an attached deck. The railing around the deck appear to be made with 2 x 4 wood. I would like to enclose the deck with lattice, and then create a garden on the deck with some vines growing up the lattice. Since I'm renting, I don't want to attach the lattice permanently, but I want to attach it securely so it doesn't fall over. I was thinking about those heavy duty plastic zip ties. Do you think that would work? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any and all advice! :)

  1. you have the correct direction going. they come in many different colors to match your lattice.

  2. I think ty wraps are your best choice. Some of those things are d!!!! tough. you would not do any damage and could easily cut them when you leave. check them over time,(uv breaks them down) and don't rely on them as a safety for the railing. you should be fine

  3. yeah if u used small screws then i could jsut unscrew it later and not leave much damage

  4. Screws. Naturally
