Relocating to another country, does anyone know any sites or if people do buy second hand furniture in France?

  1. Is it valuable antique furniture or just run of the mill stuff?

EDIT: I've found it difficult to sell furniture quickly in France.

Come to think of it, I've never seen a used furniture "store" in France. More often, I see people selling pieces at weekend brocantes or flea markets, or the springtime "vide grenier" garage sales. You might ask some of the market vendors if they are interested in buying your stuff to resell. I'm sure they'll offer you a pitiful amount, but it's better than nothing.

The last time that I moved, I focused on the English-speaking community by placing ads in the Fusac magazine and on the Craigslist Paris site. This brought in some response, although not as much as I'd hoped. Plus, it really only applies to Paris and I don't know where you are.

The web site http://mes-occasions.com/ allows you to post free announcements, but I don't have any idea what their readership or success rate is.

    Good luck!
