What is the best way to sell my crochet and knit items?

Should I sell my projects over the internet........like craigslist or ebay......or sell them locally?

  1. Locally might be the thing to try first.  I am an experianced knitter, and I needed to make some money over the summer and fall, so I sold my knit items via a local bed and breakfast.  They sold quicker than I could make more!


    But the key thing to remember is: if you sell locally, sell them somewhere where people are prepared to, and expect to, spend money. Like the B&B, people who are on vacation bring extra cash just for stuff like that. But on the other hand, people at the farmers market and stuff are there to buy vegetables, not hats. So be careful choosing where you'd sell them. An antique shop or country store might be good too.


    And yes, there is a big market for hand-knit items, as long as they are trendy, well made, and reasonably priced.


    Also, selling locally, you don't have to worry about shipping and handling costs like you would online.
