What is the best way to sell scrap gold?

I have several gold necklaces and braclets but they are broken. What is the best way to go about selling them for scrap. I do not have pawn shops where I live they are against the law here.

Any suggestions, please!

You can sell them to a jewler or a jewlery maker. They remelt the gold and reuse it in new jewlery or to fix other jewlery, like making a ring bigger or add links to a necklace

I recently saw a jewler that would melt your gold and make you something else for a fee.  It said something like "your gold, our designs".  

That sound like the best thing to do.  Melt it all into a nice ring and wear it or sell it.
