What is the best way to send foreign currency?

A friend of mine is starting a small business, where people can buy online. I am with NAB, and asked them about the situation, but basically we would get charged about $6 to $12 by them for some different type of transfer.

Anyway, I am wondering what you think is the best way for people to pay for things online. Ie, if someone buys something from the UK, and it is $39AU, then what are our options?

I was thinking PayPal... Is this a good idea, or are there other avenues I should look into. I thought a simple transfer would sufice, but doesn't look like it!

I use paypal to send money online if you dont know the person because paypal offers protection, you can send it with online banking overseas payment but this way is expensive its about $20 transfer fee.
