  1. Whenever you hear someone express ideological sentiment, put your fingers in your ears and scream, "LA LA LA LA LA!"

  2. Avoid all "isms".  Decide what you believe in, in life, and remain true to your beliefs.  But, at the same time, be open to understanding the experience of others and be willing to change your stance when new information comes in that rings true to you.  Trust your gut.

  3. C'mon Cliffy expressed my thoughts.

In addition to that, I also think that one cannot avoid having inclinations that oftentimes lead to biases, because they make sense to one personally... but an open mind also allows for introspection and analysis of one's thinking and/or evolving views, through experiences, information, exchanges, etc.

I think that the balance between remaining firm in convictions yet flexible in one's thinking (willing to question and challenge one's beliefs or views) can aid in being less stifled from learning and understanding people and things, in a deeper sense.

This was an interesting Q, especially for this particular section.

  4. always remember that if your not PC those people wont want to talk with you anyway.

  5. It's not possible.

  6. Focus on that which you believe in; remembering that's not up to others to tell you what to and what not to believe in, of course, they can give their opinions; in the end it's totally up to you.
