What is the best way to stop a moving billiard ball insanity at the end of a table?

I guess just shoot it until it stops where you want it to .there is no (shot)that will stop it on the rail every time i wish there was

i think what you are trying to do is physically impossible. the only way to do it would be through a computer simulation, which will never perfectly reflect "real" life.

one other possibility would be to take high-speed pictures, draw lines, and then measure it.
