We rent the house so major home improvements are not really viable , was hoping someone may know of some "lawn saving cup things". Its not really the table that is the problem more the front legs of the chairs .

  1. Maybe use those things you use to stop furniture legs from leaving little dents in carpet. Any hardware store should have them.

  2. you need to increase the surface area of the chair leg bottoms, reduce water in lawn, or add some flat supports under the chairs. Some 1"X4"X4"  wooden coasters screwed to the bottom of chair legs would likely be easiest. moving the furniture around frequently would help too.

  3. Put a patio paver or a brick under each point where the furniture touches the lawn.

  4. We dug out an area slightly larger than our patio table, put down a layer of sand and then put down bricks. that way people have a hard surface to put their feet on, and the furniture rests on brick instead of grass.
