Question:

What is the best way to store Charcoal for a long time?

I do not BBQ anymore but I would like to purchase some Charcoal and store it so that I have a cooking source in the event of a power outage (I still have my BBQ pit and my BBQ grill. I am talking about the normal bagged charcoal briquets. Not the kind treated with fluid. I live in a very humid area so I am not sure if just leaving it in the bag in a utility room would be okay. Should it be placed in an airtight plastic bin or something similar? Thank you.
