  1. I keep them in a ziploc bag in the fridge or I freeze them in a ziploc bag.  If I freeze them, I lay the chopped onion flat in the bag while they are freezing.  This way, because it is thin, I can break off a chuck when I need it.  I don't use a plastic container because it holds the onion smell.

  2. bag or plastic container in the fridge

  3. I have a plastic Tupperware container that hangs from my shelf in fridge, It keeps it fresh longer. Also have one for my lemons! I love it. Bought it from Tupperware.

  4. I like to use a glass pint jar or a heavy baggie. A plastic container (like tupperware) holds in the smell. Yes put it in the fridge.

  5. I do the Ziplock bag method ; making sure all of the air possible is removed from bag, before putting in fridge.

My oldest daughter has this round plastic onion holder that she puts her onion in and then it hangs in the fridge.

  6. Ziploc baggie in the fridge. This will keep the smell fairly well contained.

  7. Baggie in the fridge.  Or a tupperware container.  The tupperware is reusable!

  8. If it is for a day or two in an airtight container.

You can dice them and freeze them.

  9. I use a small Tupperware bowl and have found that by placing a napkin in the bottom makes it last longer.

  10. I just slice mine and put it in a bowl..Either a butter bowl or whatever is handy... Never smelled an onion in my frig.

  11. ziploc  bag
