I just bought heaps of avocados because they were on special and I was wondering whether it's better to store them in the fruit bowl on the bench or in the fridge? Some are ripe and some are still a bit hard.

  1. Lay them flat in a dish until they rippen, as they do eat them, make salads, put the salads in the frig

  2. the fridge

  3. to ripen them put them in a brown paper bag and leave on the counter until ripe...but to keep them fresh put them in the fridge

  4. bench, thats where the stores keep 'em... and if you only use half of one.. keep the pit in it and wrap it in saran wrap and in the fridge.. lasts longer..

  5. Whole, ripe Avocados can be stored in the refrigerator uncut for two to three days. Cut Avocado should be sprinkled with lemon juice, lime juice or white vinegar and placed in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. They should be eaten within a day or two.
