You should get an SAT practice book and do the practice tests. Collegeboard.com sells a really good one. The most important things are keeping track of your time, and recognizing the questions so you don't have to read the directions. I took the SAT in March and got a 1670. I did not study at all. Then I bought the book, did all the tests and my score went up to 1830. I'm taking them again in October and I hope my score goes up more. So the book helped a lot. Good Luck.
