  1. I have a Christmas Cactus that belonged to my late grandmother, it is approx. 45 years old. I put it out on my deck in the summer and it goes crazy. When I'm ready to bring it in at the end of the season, I clean it up, spray it with bug killer and fertilize with Miracle Grow.

  2. Place it outside and forget about it until it is time to bring it in again.  If bits break off stick them in another pot and they will root, giving you more plants.  Pick out any dead or broken bits of the plant to make it presentable before you bring it in.  start feeding it (I use weak Baby Bio) and it will reward you with its lovely flowers.   You can pot them on and propagate them easily.  Then you can give them as gifts to friends.
