  1. get a book on fetal development and show the stages of it

  2. Go to a bookstore that is aimed at children and teenagers.  If you ask them for some help they usually have a special series of books that explains where they came from, potty, being a big sibling, etc.  We bought a couple a few days ago and my daughter LOVES them.  We even got her to sit on the potty in two days LOL

  3. stork

  4. Answer their questions when they come up, honestly, accurately, and age appropriately.

  5. http://health.howstuffworks.com/adam-200...

    Heres a cute little video

  6. Yeah definably don't lie to them and tell them the stork also you should have included ages

  7. i saw this cute book that said 'mummy and daddy had a special cuddle'

    lol

    just keep it age appropriate.

  8. Draw a picture of a uterus and an egg and the sperm and how the sperm fertilizes the egg. Keep it simple. My sister taught me that way when I was really young and I thought it was fascinating rather than gross or funny.

  9. tell them the truth without any graphic details...don't lie to the kid

  10. Take the questions as they come, BE HONEST!!!! If they ask where do babys come from, a simple answer is "theres a special organ in a mommys belly called a uterus". Wait til the next question comes, dont flood them with information. (depending on there age) Next question could be "how does a baby get in the mommy"? You can simplify your explanations without getting into the graffics of s*x. " When a mommy and daddy love eachother and want to have a family, Daddy can plant a seed in her uterus, when that seed gets to the right place it starts to grow and makes a baby! See its not to scary just take it as it comes, and like I said BE HONEST! you would much rather have your child learn the birds and the bees at home were there going to learn the truth than at school or werever else and end up learning the hard way by trying it for themselves. girls get pregnant much eaarlier than they used to and boy are daddys much younger too.

  11. You do the biology first, very simply like Carlen said, then from there you explain things according to your own family beliefs/morals/religion. Also, according to their age - usually around six is the best time. Don't do all the explaining at once, start with basics, then check in with them a week later and ask if they have any questions (they probably would have come to you already if they did) - and just keep yourself open. Add more information with more age and maturity.

*Just an aside, and ignore this part if you want. We're Catholic, and our school taught the Fully Alive program, which we reinforced with teaching at home. Even if you aren't Catholic or even religious, all the information is online in the different areas, by grade/age, and topics, including stories, etc. There may be parts you find valuable to use anyway since it's very basic and written for grade level, so I'll leave the link. Go to the part where it says Programs for grades 1, 2, 3, and it goes through the themes -

  12. Tell them babies come from the Stork.

  13. it depends on how old they are.  My oldest believes babies come from God and that I have a door in my belly (I've had 3 csections) and that's where they physically get here.
