What is the best way to teach a horse to lay down?

Why would you want him to lay down. If he wants to lay down he will. Let him make his own decisions.

I have trained many to do so

I find the best way is NOT to throw them down like most movie horse trainers do

What I do and this is to hard to tell you on the net

But I will give some tips but all has to with a trainer that knows how

I can't teach you here unless I know all about  the horse .and you

  1...first he must have a stretch

  2 then he must be able to bow

3 he must know how to back up with a bridle on

and he must not be afraid of the whip or you

the que will most likely be on the belly next to the cinch
