  1. try lifting small 1-5lb weights

then transition into small "girl" push-ups on the knees

and then finally a real push-up

  2. keep doing more. its called tearing ur muscle than rebuilding it. thats how strength is formed. keep doing more practice

  3. I'm had very big body ( my weight is 98 kg and i'm 180cm) . So can't do push up . But i have very good passing and serving ( the BASIC thing on volley ) and i also can do smash . And i can't do push up . So when ever the coach ask me to push up i never do it seriously . And he know it . But he never angry cause he know i can play volley . I now this is not a good tip . But in volley it's ok if u can't do push up good . As long u can play good . Coach will know that .

  4. WELL WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL THE COACH WOULD SCREAM OBSCENITIES AT US OR PUSH HIS FEET ON OUR BACKS OR ONE TIME HE GRABBED THIS KIDS HAIR AND PUSHED HIS HEAD UP AND DOWN TO MAKE HIM KEEP PUSHING UP

  5. Ah...I remember when I had trouble doing push-ups.  The best thing to do is have her do a few each day, a few times a day.

So, if she can only do two, have her do more frequently.

For example, she could go to a set number, such as five push-ups. It dosen't have to be five, but just enough to get a good workout. After she has done the set amount of push ups, she can stop and get up, shake her arms a bit, and when her arms feel better later (which can vary depending on the person), have her do another set.

A good thing to do is have her do it from her knees. It's easier, and it help build the strength for the regular position push up. As she feels like she can do more, increase the amount of push ups.

It may be a little hard, but this is where the "no pain, no gain" saying comes in. I would start with 2 sets of push ups each day. From then, with progress, she can increase the number to do, or the sets to do.

    Hope this helps!

  6. tell her 2 just put her hand on the wall and put her feet back a little and try 2 build her muscle up a bit then go 2 real push ups!!!

  7. Concentrate on the aspects of the game rather than her strength at this point.  She's got at least 6 more years of volleyball ahead of her to gain her strength.

For a 12 year old girl, the object of the game is to "learn" and "have fun".  Don't push her too hard by trying to pack on all this muscle.  Right now she'll do it, but you're risking her burning out early.

However, if you still want her to do pushups, start off with pushups where her knees are still on the ground.  A little thing as keeping your knees on the ground takes off a lot of the weight and pressure.

At this young age, do two or three sets of 5 reps each.  If it looks like she's handling it great, move it up to 6 then 7.  Move slowly.  Her body is still developing and if you push her too hard, you have the chance of injuring her.
