  1. Apply for a new card in your name only, and request that they transfer the balance of your existing cards to the new card. The only other way you can do it is by borrowing from your "own" card to pay off your joint card(s). But any money you borrow is called cash advances which incur outrageously high interest rates.

  2. dunno- call the bank and tell them to do so

  3. Your best bet is to just go to a good credit card comparison site and see what kind of balance transfer offers are available.  It doesn't make any difference to the banks if you are transferring joint balances to one card or vice versa.

  4. Apply for a new credit card and see if you can transfer the balances.

  5. So you want to get the money that belongs to both of you and put it in an account that she won't know about or be able to access?  Sounds like I better call her.  This is fraudulent and you could be prosecuted, so I think you need to talk to your wife.  If you aren't getting along, talk to her about closing the account.  That way you will get your half and she will get hers.

But be honest about it or you could be facing charges, really, she can bring a civil suit against you.

  6. Apply for a new card in your name only and transfer the balances, try to get one with a no interest on balance transfers if you can.
