What is the best way to travel from Fordham to Providence College on commuter rails?

I am in college and it would be nice to spend as least amount of money possible, however, I would prefer not being on a train for 12 hours

If you you are in one of the New York City campuses, you can't really take commuter rail to Rhode Island, and Amtrak is very expensive ($120).  Taking a bus is another option, and there are several bus lines that will take you there within 4-5 hours or so.  You can get a student ticket from Peter Pan Bus Lines for 32 dollars according to their website.  I hope this helps!
