  2. If you don't want to take the express train from the airport to Termini, you can get the local train from the airport and stop at Ostiense if the train to Florence stops there. Depends which train you are getting. If it is eurostar of an express then you'll have to go to Termini - if it is a regional train you can get the connection at Ostiense.

Look on www.trenitalia.com to see where you can get your train to Florence from.

  3. There's a train station at the airport that connects to Roma Termini station where you can transfer to a train to Florence. The total trip takes about 2.5 hours and costs 47.10 euro 2nd class. You can check specific schedules at: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

Enter Fiumicino Aero for the airport station.

  4. I would kindly suggest you to take a train from Fiumicino, train station is just outside the arrival's terminal, to Termini Station, trains depart more or less every 15 minutes. There you can take a train to Florence Santa Maria Novella, Florence's Central Station, there's a train every hour. If you planned to rent a car you should take the Rome Fiumicino highway headed towards Rome, than take G.R.A. towards Aurelia, and on the G.R.A. take exit 10 that is the Higway A1. Get the ticket, enter higway and follow directions for Firenze. Remeber that at Florence exit you will have to pay the toll; you can do it either by credit card or with money.

  5. Hi,

    You could travel by Alitalia.

I did once and think the price was around $350.

As far as I know Alitalia is the only one offering domestic flight form Rome to Florence.

You could check it out from this site:

I hope this was to any help.

    Have a nice trip!
