  1. Hi, I used to live in Aviano for four years.  The best way from the airport is probably the train.  U can get a cab ride from the airport to the Marcon train station.  About a 15 minute drive.  the train will take you to Pordenone or Sacile, whichever you prefer. Both are equal distance to aviano.  There is a small train that will take you right to aviano but I think that train only runs once or twice a day, never actually used it to go directly to aviano.  To ride the train, they have automatic ticket computers at every station so if you do not want to speak to a teller or only know english this is the best way.  It will print your ticket for you.  Before you get on the train you will have to validate your ticket by using one of the machines next to the boarding area.  Prices are very cheap and the train is very easy to use.  You will spend about 10 dollars to get from Marcon to the aviano area.  If you were to use a taxi from the airport to aviano it will be very very expensive.

  2. i live in Pordenone and ive been to Venice a billion times! go to the Pordenone train station and look for departures. i think theres a train to venice every 2 hours or something like that! if you dont know how to get to pordenone , go to the aviano square and take a bus to Pordenone.

have fun inVenice and wear comfy shoes...cuz u're gonna be walking alot!

  3. Hi,

I would suggest to travel by railway.

You can search for your trip on the link below.

Click on the banner: "Find all your EUROPEAN RAIL Passes and Tickets here".

On the next page select "Italy & beyond Tickets" under "City-to-city Tickets" and search for Venezia - Aviano.

    Hope this was useful information!

  4. If you have an international drivers licence, then the best way is to drive there yourself. It's a beautiful drive =)

Also, try checking the trains. They are pretty cheap.
