I would definitely prefer the train - you will get to see much more than by just flying from one city to another. Those three countries are neighbors to each other, the distances are not that huge...

to travel between these countries I'd say take airplane . You might think that a train would be cheaper but you'd be surprised on google type :Rick Steves Europe, go to his forum and you will see a list of airlines that fly within Europe.  He also has guides for each 3 of these countries and tourist attractions including hidden jewls. For your initial ticket thought I would recomment www.sidestep.com or www.igougo.com So far I have booked on sidestem 3 times, because thrice it had the best deal to France once in the winter once in the summer and once again in the winter trip coming up
