What is the best web site to help me start homeschooling for my son (a highschool senior)?

He made a Junior A Hockey team and the coach has recommended he does homeschooling his senior year since he will be on the road a lot and miss a lot of school.

We live in Michigan

  1. Well, I am currently enrolled in Alpha Omega Academy, SOS.

    Everything is online, and it's sort of a do-it-yourself type of learning.

  2. Keystone National High School is of course, national, and is designed for students who travel a lot for other reasons.  

  3. Before you start looking at websites, find out what requirements his regular school has for homeschoolers.  They will have approved websites for you.

  5. The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is an EXCELLENT site that not only has resources and informaiton on State by State home schooling laws, but also other important information, such as home schooling networks.  You can even contact them for free for legal counseling!

    We love them!

  6. In Michigan there is Michigan Virtual School. If that is not what you are looking for, there are others that are private or you can just purchase curriculum.
