Chess.com is a free, well-developed website with lots of features, which focuses exclusively on chess. They offer live chess, "turn-based chess" (a web-based version of correspondence chess during which you can have many games going simultaneously), message boards, training, lessons, and an engaged user community.

Yahoo chess is terrible - years after they have released this product, it is still full of bugs.

1. If you lose on time but your opponent has only a king then it should be a draw by chess rules

2. Your opponent should not be able to annoy you by repeated draw offers in a quick game

3. Yahoo should detect computer players - they do not and it is very annoying

4. Yahoo should implement an anti-internet-lag system, and they haven't done it.
