I like this site because it has tons of phrases and conversational topics that I use for work, when I'm at home, and when I'm with friends.

And they have movies so you can listen and train your ear to different accents natives use.

I agree with We shout (beauty goddess) ....www.livemocha.com is a great site. It is free and interactive. You get lessons online you can chat with people through e-mail or IM. The best Internet learning site I have found. I use it for Spanish.

finding your local spanish class

my mum took three lessons up before leaving and learnt alot

this way she learnt with peers and was able to check if she was doing it right or wrong

its far better than doing it on the web and your local collage may offer a gcse spanish or equivilant which means it should be free
