If you're going to buy pet birds, hoping that you've done all the necessary research, I strongly recommend that you adopt pet birds instead of buying them. There are so many good abandoned birds out there in parrot shelters, and buying fresh birds from breeders worsens the situation for these poor creatures and their future generations. So visit http://www.avianwelfare.org to find the nearest parrot shelter.

This way, you'll also know for sure what type of bird you're getting, and these guys also rehab birds -- so they often have better birds than most pet stores and many breeders!

ordering them online is not the best idea so eather adopt or get from a pet store shpping will stress them out
