What is the best website to go to so I can get a tax id # so I can buy furniture and other things wholesale so I can resale them and make a profile? How much does it usually cost? How long does it take to get one. Do I have to have a business to get a tax id # or can I just use it to buy things to sell on the internet? thanks for reading

You need to be a business.  You need to register your business with the state department of taxation (usually at your county office)  You will be required to maintain business records and pay sales tax on the items you sell.
