  1. 1. Kitchen Appliances

    2. Honeymoon to Kissimee FL

    3. Waffle Maker

  2. This is tough.

The most special gift was a set of china with a Ukrainian pattern on it from my mom and siblings. It's SO beautiful and unusual.

Handmade quilt from friends was amazing. One very special gift was a litho of a Ukrainian man and woman on their wedding, the artist was my former teacher/principal, friend of the family. When he delivered it to my mom's home the day before the wedding, and I saw him walking up the sidewalk with this huge framed picture with a bright ribbon and bow on it - I just started bawling - because he's an amazing artist, and it is so cool to have one of his pieces.

However, most used gift is an electric frying pan - really big and deep so you can use it for anything!

Other gifts we totally loved - sheets and towels (we hadn't shacked up), crystal serving pieces (because it's not something you buy yourself, but use in future years); pottery pieces (teaholder, matching mugs; soup tureen; platter).

Ah, we loved any and all gifts!

Had no gifts 'in mind' before; and we hadn't registered.

  3. 1) a trip to the local furnature store to pick out any dining room table I wanted...from my mom and dad not to mention they paid for part of the wedding.  I also got $500 from my grandpa which bought our air conditioner

    2)  my 2 good friends went in together and got me a new vaccuum which i was in despret need for and will forever love them for it

    3) I really wanted my vaccuum and I definitely got it which was great, but I loved all my gifts and all my guests for sharing the day with us whether they brought a gift or not.

  4. The best gift we received was a cross-stitch of the place we got married (a winery). But its not like a regular cross-stitch style. Its huge and has something like 40,00 stitches. When people come over, they think its a photograph, its that detailed. My sister made it for us, and her whole family chipped in and helped out so that she could have extra time to work on it. So not only it is just gorgeous, its completely of love from the whole family.

We got a tiny glass vase thats mostly black but swirled with gold and red, its an individual piece by a local artist, from a friend. Its the perfect size for a tiny bouquet of red roses.

Would have loved a picnic basket, or a giant high-quality blanket, like a really nice wool blanket or something, that could be multi-purpose and we could have forever.

  5. Custom handmade figurine is a unique gift for everyone!

I would highly recommend you visit http://aweddinggiftidea.com

Their professional artists will make a wonderful figurine of them. I sent them my favorite pictures of my sister and they made incredible "mini-me". That was awesome! My sister was very, very touched and pleased when I gave it to her as wedding gift.

  6. 1. A spoon from a silverware set that belonged to my great great great grandmother.

    2. A digital picture frame with a sd card full of pictures of my hubby and me the day we met (we didn't even know they existed).

    3. hmmm, I guess my pots and pans set, which I got. Although numbers 1 and 2  trumped that by far.

  7. These are answers from some of my past brides.  It all depends on the person really

    1. From a relative?

-mail box with our married name

    3. Name a wedding gift that you really wanted

-enought $$ to help pay for the house/honeymoon

    -the china set

    -pots and pans

  8. 1) My mother gave me a locket with a picture of me as a child on one side and a picture of my grandmother (who unfortunately has passed away) on the other.

    2) A beautiful handmade quilt.

    3) My husband ;)

  9. 1. Pampered Chef party

    2.  tie between Willow Tree figurine and handmade commemorative plate

    3.  I didn't really want anything specific.

  10. 1. My mother got me a hand blown candle holder that had 2 dragons intertwining.

    2. My best friend got a custom dinnerware set with the theme of the ocean on it.

    3. This bedding set that was deep reds and blues and violets. It matched with the theme of my bedroom.

  11. We got 2 gifts (other than money) that really stand out. One was from a relative, the other a non-relative. Both were handmade pieces of art to commemorate our wedding day. One was a needlepoint piece, the other a wooden bowl...both are much lovlier than I can really describe.

I didn't really think about what I wanted as gifts. I really didn't care about that, to be honest. We knew we'd get money-that's customary. The handmade things thrilled me because there are no others just like them and they were made specifically for us. I know lots of care and effort went into those gifts. That mean alot to me.
