Other than Time or Newsweek, which seem too biased now. I have had The Economist recommended to me. Any other recommendations?

  1. National Review (biweekly).

I read it cover to cover.  It's full of actual information, not sound bites and comic book like appeal to the masses.

  2. I agree with you on Time and Newsweek.  The Economist is required reading in my opinion.

I recently discovered two publications which have online and print versions.  National Journal calls themselves non-partisan.  The Week provides great summaries of news items with both sides of the debate.

National Review as suggested by another Yahoo user is pretty biased towards the right so probably not a good choice.

    Have fun being enlightened!

  3. I read the economist too, but sometimes the writing is very sloppy and awkward. I know that they are British, so they have a different style, but sometimes it is hard to read.

So, I read Time and Newsweek too. Overall, I think the magazines are pretty fair. But through in the Economist and you've got a great and diverse perspective of the world.

I suggest that you read all three.
