Question:

What is the best western United States cycling tour for twenty somethings?

A lot of tours that we see brochures on seem to have a bit of an older crowd on them ie: 35-55. Does anyone know of good biking tours out west that seem to attract more the twenty something crowd, but are still well organized?

  1. If you want something challenging look for the PAC tours. There are lots of tours -- across the US, Canada to Mexico, etc. Well organized and run.

  2. I know of no touring group that aim for the twenty-some crowd.  Sadly, most young people have no interest in bicycling.

That said, I did a week long tour with Cycle America back in 2001.  Loveland Colorado, to Steamboat Springs, to Laramie Wyoming, then back to Loveland.  Great challenging ride and a very good touring company.  I would use them again if I ever get the bicycling bug back and loose about 45 pounds!
