Great wine with either kind of truffles is

Carpineto's "dogajolo" ........it is a blend of Tuscan reds and the least expensive of the Super Tuscans  about $10.

If in the mood for a nice dessert wine try:

with chocolate truffles: ruby or tawny port, muscat, Framboise (if the truffles aren't flavored themselves) or, believe it or not - a really heavy duty beer - brown ale, porter, stout. You could get a fairly reasonably priced port, but if budget is a concern - try the beer.

with white truffles (mushroom), the absolute classic pairing is Barbaresco or Barolo. Unfortunately, they are nearly as expensive as the truffles!

with black truffles (mushrooms) - also Barbaresco or Barolo or Burgundy. A new world Pinot Noir might work, but they are usually too fruity for truffles. But you could probably afford one.

Yeah, I share hungarian girls view.

If we are talking about chocolate, I think a port is good, or other big red like Napa cab, or amorone maybe.

If we are talking about the little mushroom type things, go with good burgundy.
